BY Jaron Smith – Owner
“From the Desk of the Owner” will be a series of information and data compiled by the owner, Jaron Smith, to inform our clients, customers and onlookers of all the things taken place at Run Your Gun Tactical. The first entry will give some great updates of our courses/services and our company as a whole. Remember to contact us if you have any questions about you will read. Enjoy the content, and thank you!
MS Enhanced Carry Course – Step 1
The first step to acquire the MS Enhanced CCW Permit – “Instructor Certified” – is to attend an 8 hour course with a certified instructor. The instructor must be either a NRA or USCCA certified instructor who has been declared by the state of MS to teach the course. If you are having trouble determining if you found the right person for the job, then click here to see a list of instructors in your area and throughout the state of MS. We hope that you have already chosen our company to fulfill the task since you’re reading this post. Anyway, after you have decided that you want to sign up, you will complete the following to receive the certificate necessary to purchase the permit. You will need to complete a classroom session along with a firing range qualification. The course is a maximum of 8 hours, so be prepared to spend a good bit of the day with the instructor. At the conclusion of the course, you will receive a certificate that will be submitted along with your application. To make it easy for you I will add a link to the most current application here. Our company has a Notary of the Public, so print out your app and bring it to the course with you to be filled out and notarized.
Department of Public Safety – Step 2
At the conclusion of the course, you will need to have a completed application along with your certificate from the course. Be sure that it is in color or else the Department of Public Safety may not take it. You will need to take the documentation to your local DPS to be submitted along with having your fingerprints taken. Great news! You are able to go every day to the DPS to handle this as of October 1st, so the sooner you get it done, the better.
If you have any questions, reach out to our company to answer it for you. Our goal is to be able answer any question you have about this process.
THANK YOU!
We want to extend a warm thank you to all of our past and future clients and customers. This company cannot exist without you, so we thank you for your support in whatever capacity you give it! Be on the lookout for the next post.
