BY Jaron Smith – Owner
“From the Desk of the Owner” will be a series of information and data compiled by the owner, Jaron Smith, to inform our clients, customers and onlookers of all the things taken place at Run Your Gun Tactical®. The first entry will give some great updates of our courses/services and our company as a whole. Remember to contact us if you have any questions about you will read. Enjoy the content, and thank you!
You’ve signed up, so what’s next?
Thank you for signing up for our course. We know you could’ve chosen someone else, but you decided to choose us. For that reason alone, we are appreciative of your upcoming attendance.
Before you continue reading, please click the link rygt.link/waiver to complete the Liability Waiver / Photo Release form.
Now, here is a buyer’s guide for any person who is new to the firearm world. You want to be sure to purchase the right equipment before you arrive as we may have limited products on hand.
1st things 1st – If you have not already purchased a firearm, then we recommend that you do not buy one before attending our course. Firearms are expensive, so we’d rather take advantage of our rental program. This ensures you are able to learn about the configuration of the firearm you desire to purchase. Here are some questions to ask yourself.
- Do you want a compact or full size firearm?
- Do you want it to have a safety?
- Do you want a revolver or semi-automatic?
- Do you want to have a small capacity or larger capacity firearm? (Related to amount of ammo it can hold)
If you have a firearm already (Semi-automatic or Revolver), then please be sure to bring that with you to attend the course.
Next, you need ammunition. There are 2 types of ammunition that can be fired from a firearm, FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) or Self-Defense (Hollow Points). We recommend that you bring Full Metal Jacket. This is considered practice ammo. If you are not sure of what caliber your firearm should need, then you can refer to your handbook located with your original packaging or use google. If you’re still not able to determine the caliber, then send us an email to info@runyourguntt.com with a few detailed pictures. Someone should be able to let you know.
Next, you need to be sure to bring ear and eye protection. Now, if you are actively wearing eyewear for reading or you have prescription glasses, then you should be okay to wear those as eye protection.
where can i buy these items?
Any of the items can be purchased directly from Run Your Gun Tactical ®. You will want to contact us as soon as you sign up to allow us ample time to have the product available for your course. At the time of contact, you will receive a quote, and payment will be expected the week of the course.
