Trademark Acquired

The date was June 3rd when I sat down at my desk and I checked the company’s email. I noticed there was an email from my lawyer stating, “I am pleased to report…”, and it was over with from there. In summary, the email stated that I received the trademark for Run Your Gun Tactical®. Now 1st, let’s define what a trademark is. A trademark is a symbol, word, or words legally registered or established by use as representing a company or product. The 2nd thing we should know is why having a trademark is important. It’s important as it functions as a way to brand and show your company is established. Also, the mark appreciates over time while in business. Lastly, it protects your brand in the event someone may attempt to take your name and operate as your company. The 3rd and final reason this is important is because it is an accomplishment which my children will be able to gain from as the company grows, and they decide to take it over.

The idea that I was able to trademark this company came because I surrounded myself around other people vying for the same accomplishment. Being around like minded individuals allows a person to escalate their thinking and their productivity.

What should you take from this?

Take the fact that another person who is business like you was able to do this with time and money. Investing in yourself costs more than money. It takes you to believe in yourself and to believe the product that is being offered is worth the journey. There will be plenty of people who will be in the same arena, but how many of those people are you? I ask myself that question often, but I learned quickly that there is only one Jaron Smith who can do business like Jaron Smith.

Take the leap and plan to land on a level above where you jumped from.

I know this is not the most lengthy post, but I wanted to share some good news since it’s been awhile.

We want to extend a warm thank you to all of our past and future clients and customers. This company cannot exist without you, so we thank you for your support in whatever capacity you give it! Be on the lookout for the next post.
